solid product but is it unnecessary? Jun 17, 2010 I've had this mat for about 6 months now and am glad to have made the purchase. It's constructed of solid material and has sufficient weight to keep it from curling up on the corners. It hasn't moved an inch from use of the elliptical on it or my two cats frequently running over it at full gallop.
I can't help but wonder, though, if it's really necessary. The biggest selling point for me was its ability to keep dust off the exercise machine when in use and, therefore, extend the machine's life. The machine doesn't move when I'm on it. Even if it did stir up some dust, as far as I can tell it wouldn't matter as all moving parts are encased in protective plastic.
Either way, I don't regret buying it as it is a quality product and it looks a lot better than having my elliptical sitting directly on the carpet.
Best Treadmill Mat Ever! May 18, 2010 This mat is fantastic! Extra long. Very thick. Perfect for our Sole Treadmill. Other mat's are just too short. I would highly recommend this mat.
